A peaceful, private 18th Century Scottish Georgian Mansion House.
Durn House is an exclusive use venue. This means that when you book your wedding with us, our beautiful and historic house, along with it’s 8 deluxe bedrooms (sleeping 18 guests), is exclusively yours for the day and night of your wedding. This total exclusivity gives you the flexibility to plan your wedding day exactly how you want it.
If exclusive use of the house is not your ideal, we also offer the opportunity to have exclusive use of one of our public rooms to celebrate with family and friends in a very special and intimate environment.
Located on the stunning North-East Moray Coast, and standing in its own grounds, Durn House offers a private and romantic setting for your wedding day. A luxurious boutique country house with comfortable bedrooms, elegant furnishings and contemporary interiors, it is a real “home from home” in which to welcome and entertain your guests.
Every wedding we do is unique, and we will hold your hand from the first contact, through the busy planning stage and on the day until the last guest leaves. We understand all the excitement and stress of organising a wedding and we will be calm, unflappable and can-do from start to finish.

A lovely sunny day with Guests playing in the garden. Everyone enjoyed the cocktails, confetti, canapes, and homemade cakes.
It was one Guest's birthday, and during dinner a surprise stripper entered the Hall. The other Guests were confused and perhaps embarrassed, and the manager came in to calm things down. The manager chased the stripper out... and then there was a scream...

We are happy for all our Weddings to enjoy Garden Ceremonies at no extra cost, and what's most fun about this option is that you're welcome to decorate outside to ensure that your ceremony space is absolutely stunning!
As well as outside, you're welcome to bring decorations for inside the house.
